Although the tickets were "free" - the car parking charge for this event was £8 - repeat £8 - lots of people were queuing up for the car park - I thought it was full but drivers were quizzing the attendant as to why the charges were so steep, then most turned around and drove off. I travelled from another county to the NEC but I too refused to pay the rip of car park charges for what is in most respects a "shop" - had the event organisers had been a little more thoughtful and had either free or say parking at £4 I dare say a lot more people would have been at the show. Serves them right, I say
