Overcoat Not Smelling its Best

Hi All,

I have an overcoat worn over a suit that is made of a cloth material. It has got wet a few times due to walking in the rain and since the coat has dried out it has an unpleasant pong about it.

What is the solution?

Do you have a Johnsons dry cleaners nearby? They use an environmentally friendly cleaning chemical which doesn't even upset my sensitive chest.

Dry Cleaners but no Johnsons, besides I didn't think dry cleaners could do anything about the smell?

Unless you want a dubiously niffy article in the wardrobe, possibly contaminating other garments, I'd hike it to a dry cleaner & ask if they can do anything about the smell.

If you get a complete blank look, smile & back away (with garment!) and look up where a Johnsons might be.
  • This is what I use on pongy things.... put a slug of vodka, a few drops of tea tree and a few drops of eucalyptus into a spray bottle, and half fill with water. Spray it lightly all over and give it a good shake while its damp. :)
