Home Improvements with Help to Buy Loan

Hi!
We are due to buy a property with a Help to Buy Equity loan next year. I am aware that any home improvements including structural alterations need prior approval from HTB.
My parents have (very kindly) said they'd like to give us a conservatory as a wedding gift :O! Yes, I know...
Has anyone got any experience with improvements and HTB? I have a bad feeling they'd reject such an application.
Any help much welcomed.

Prepare for a long wait. Presumably the firm who won this Government contract from Metropolitan did so by underbidding the others.I am a mortgage broker.
