Missold Pension?

I think I may have been badly advised to take out a personal pension rather than joining my employers (NHS) superannuation scheme.

Can anyone tell me if it is too late to make a claim for redress and if not, how I go about it.

Thats rare nowadays. Most of these were cleared up in the 90s under pension review.

Where an occupational pension scheme exists, then you should be in that and not a personal pension (although a personal pension can be used incrementally to enhance benefits).

So, based on the little info you have given, it would appear to be a mis-sale. However, if its an old one, then you should have gone through pension review and it should have been picked up. Questionnaires were set out a decade ago asking why you didnt join. How you answered those depended on whether or not you were classed as a mis-sale or not.

You should put a complaint into the advising company.
