Please note just realised requires a facebook account to record scores. So don't do what I just did and get 5200, not log in and then so far get nowhere near it again

It's hard. The points go up quite a bit when you get on a roll. I was getting like 250 per present earlier.

Looks like they have changed it already, you only need to get 2500 now for the Echo Dot or 7500 for the iPhone, a lot easier.
