When to buy a new laptop before or after christmas

Hi all, I just sold some things so I can now buy myself a much needed laptop (around the £200-300 price) . I missed black Friday so I'm wondering if there will be deals just before Christmas when shops are realizing some of their stock hasn't shifted and theChristmas buying spree is almost over.

Or should I wait till after Chrismas for Jan sales? Is there any other "Black Friday" type sale days? I'm keeping an eye on hotUKdeals for any laptop bargains is there other sites that i should be watching. Thanks in advance for any info / advice offered.

Given what a washout Black Friday is (much hyped but little evidence of the landslide bargains anticipated), I suspect that's not much of a marker. Why not try a little high street bargaining, a al SuperShoppers on Channel 4? If you need a laptop, probably getting it sooner rather than later would be a good bet - and as you say, many shops are realising stock won't shift before Christmas.

    Good luck!

firstly before you do make sure you read up online at reviews of laptops, it'll be a lot better to spend an extra £50 and get a much better laptop than the save this £50 in a sale and get a worse laptop as it'll die a lot sooner!
  • As above, you really do get what you pay for. If its in a sale then theres probably a reason. I guess it all comes down to what spec you need.
