118118money loan

Hi Guys

Wondering if anyone can help. I have been paying my debts off via stepchange and one of my debts was 118118money. I have been paying more than i have needed to on all my debts so they all finish well before the agreement. my 118118 loan was interested loaded at the start. however I'm due to pay one more payment next month. I rang them this morning and the told me all i had to pay was £16.20 my payment is usually £130 something. just a bit confused they said i saved on the interest but the interest was front loaded i thought at the start. I'm minus -£961 in arrears.

any help would be appreciated thank you

Dave

No loans have interest front-loaded at the start.

I was charged £1900 something at the start of the loan. I cant see how I would save interest. unless they gained interest on my £961 and giving it back ? so I really don't know if I have paid it off or not.
  • Your overpayments have saved you interest. You weren't charged any up front interest.
  • it is illegal to front load interest now.
