UK banks are already planning to leave

Leading international UK-based banks are in advanced stages of planning to shift operations to Paris as London braces for the impact of Brexit, France's chief financial regulator has said.

Paris is among a number of European cities seeking to woo firms considering a move away from London to maintain their access to EU markets, and faces competition from Dublin, Frankfurt and Luxembourg, among others.

Will the city survive? Millions of jobs could go

So some french guy is attempting to drum up some business for his country, without knowing what the terms of Brexit are...

Maybe straighten your tin foil hat, again. This isn't useful.

Well the banks would be daft if they weren't making plans to relocate. However, that doesn't mean they will do it. They will also have plans to stay exactly where they are. What the will do will depend on the outcome of the Brexit negotiations. If we end up losing our passport rights to sell financial services then expect a lot of banking jobs to move. Otherwise, they will stay wherever offers the banks the lowest operating costs and tax bill.

    Millions of jobs? Really?

Who, exactly, is employing these 'millions' of people. Or are you under the illusion that everyone who works in London a a hedge-fund manager?
