I have about 8 large ones which are ripe but won't be eaten for a while. Do these freeze well or will they go mushy?
Any suggestions on how else I can quickly use them up?

Hello
I have Italian relatives, and I have been told by them freezing is the best way to actually 'ripen' the fruits quickly. I haven't actually tried it myself, but usually any foodie advice is spot on-Italians like their food!0 -
It sounds as if penny_less is correct. But just wanted to say that I freeze fruit, including strawberries which aren't meant to defrost very well, but have always been fine. If they do come out mushy then I pour yoghurt over them and OH has them like that for pudding.0
