Without knowing the lender where do I start ?

My first mortgage was obtained in 1990 through a Co., called Chase de Vere. I can't remember the name of the actual lender, but I do know it wasn't one of the usual e.g. Halifax , Barclays, Lloyds, etc., I do remember being informed at least three times that it had be taken over by another Co., one of which was Bank of Ireland. I haven't yet been able to find any paperwork but would like to try to claim a PPI as there was a hefty endowment attached to it. Throughout this mortgage which ended in 2000 payments would have gone out from my bank NATWEST to the lender.

Most brokers were not regulated prior to Jan 2005. Some have to consider complaints going back to 2000 but 1990s is before regulation. So, they do not have to consider your complaint.

Plus, PPI and endowments are two totally different things. So, what is it that you are complaining about?

PPI and any endowment policy would not be linked.

16 years on from paying off the mortgage (and 26 from taking it out) you are going to really struggle with this one even if you can find documentation..
