Home Phone Number

I have noticed this month there are quite a few comps that have a red star next to home phone number and mobile number being required to enter. But I don't want strange phone calls at all hours so have been putting my mobile number in both sections. But I don't know if this then disqualifies me as I have not put the correct info asked for. What has everybody else been putting? Merry Christmas

If it asks for both Home and mobile I put both. Sometimes if you read the t&C's it says will only contact if you are a winner. Other firms say that they do no pass on any of your details.
If it a prize you really want and the firm is requesting both phone numbers then it is worth giving both.
Not sure if it would disqualify you from competition though.I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

I don't have a home phone number. Just a mobile number as we didn't see the point in paying the ridiculous monthly cost for a phone a line.0

If they decide to attempt contact just using your home number and cannot they may move on but on the bright side you will not know you lost out on a win.0

On the other hand, I never use a mobile (PAYG, don't know if any money on it, or if battery charged; just for emergencies only - if I ain't near a landline don't even try to get me....!), so if required I put the home number in both. Get really annoyed if form won't accept a non-mobile number!!0

I use my home number and I haven't had lots of strange phone calls, but I'm careful to check or uncheck the tick boxes at the bottom of entry forms.
If it requires a mobile number I put in a series of zeros, or +44 as the start of the number and they go through.0
