in Gone off!
I went to Sainsburys to buy a normal case of 6x1 litre case of UHT milk, normally £4.25 and its now £3.50
so I nabbed two cases These will keep me going though the next couple of months of cold weather I no longer buy fresh milk as I was wasting too much of it and UHT can sit happily out of the way in the conservatory and not clutter up my freezer (which is far too full anyway) Just over 58p per litre is fine by me.

Sainsbury (and Tesco)have stopped the Dried Milk Powder which worked out even cheaper.
When my stash runs out will look around for UHT.0 -

I use to get dried milk from Tesco but when they stopped it, another poster on here said Sainsbury still do it, it's still on their website 500gm for £1.40, but when i went earlier this week the only stuff there was 300gm for £2.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I am quite happy with it and can't tell the differance at all. I would have to drive 8 miles each way to my nearest Lidls, and I detest Tesco's unless I really have to get something quickly My local metro one never seems to stock what I want anyway0

50p in Aldi and Iceland who also do a 6 pack that works out slightly less, but the tops are annoying to open. Probably 80p in Tesco Metro, I get fed up of this dual pricing lark.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

JackieO - thank you for posting about this.
I normally buy 6 cartons of UHT milk as my contribution to the food bank. I buy m00 brand which is stocked by h3ron f00ds & h0m3 bargins amongst other places - it is British milk and is currently 55p for a litre (and has a screwtop lid) for SS. Whilst the MrS offering makes it 18p per half dozen cartons dearer for me - I actually went for it, because the cartons are boxed (no need to put 6 individual cartons in a bag4life - hence only a 13p saving), I got several weeks worth in one go (had access to the car for once) and have dropped them off, so that the food bank has my December donation in one fell swoop to dish out as they prioritise.

Yes a massive difference, UHT milk is disgusting in my opinion. I cant drink it and it makes coffee taste horrible.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Regarding the dried milk powder in Sainsbobs, I found last year that they took it off sale to fill the shelves with more exotic fare. The Basics range was back again after all the Fuss died down.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
