Hi all
Iv been a full time temp with the council with pertemps for 19 months now (3 month temp to perm but that's another story lol)
My query is every Bank holiday the council members are paid and we even have 2 extra free days time off this year too awesome..unless pertemps disagree and say I'm not entitled to bank holiday pay so I lose around 10 days of my holiday entitlement every year
Help please I have 5 days entitlement built up and about to lose it all again when and I go for an operation in 2 :-6/ time

Are you saying they make you use some of your accrued holiday pay to cover the Bank holiday when you are not working?
What is your total annual entitlement for holidays? If it is at least 5.6 weeks per year (28 days for a 5 day a week employee) then you are receiving your statutory entitlement. The 28 days can include bank holidays.
Do you know what the holiday pay/entitlement for the permanent council employees is? if it is more than 28 days a year, you may have a claim under the AWR as contractual holiday pay is included in the definition of basic pay.Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -
Your relationship with the council is irrelevant as you are not employed by them.
What their employees get is also not relevant.0 -

That assumes that the agency isn't using the Swedish Derogation. If they are then the 12 week rule doesn't apply. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
