NHS Season Ticket Question

Hi
A work mate of my husband told him today that a pre payment certificate for prescriptions can be used by 2 people. I really don't see how this can be true but he insisted that if I bought a 'season ticket' we would both be covered by it. I've looked on line and can't find anything to back this up, has my husband got the wrong end of the stick, is his work mate talking out of his...... or am I missing something?

The working tax credit exemption card can be used by both adults on the claim.
