Help to buy guarantee scheme

I just wanted some advice on the help to buy guarantee scheme that ends 31st December. How long does a bankruptcy have to be discharged to qualify for the scheme. I have been told 6 years by a broker but the gov site states 3? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on the scheme that know the criteria?
Many Thanks.
Many Thanks.

It is going to be down to the lender criteria more than that of the scheme itself. 3 years discharged is the minimum a lender would want.

Thank you will go back to the lender and query it. As they are telling us due to the restrictions of the help to buy they cant lend to us as it has to be 6 years out under the help to buy. It's frustrating as we will be 6 years out by the time we complete.0
