Mortgage Offer Address Concern

Not sure I am in the right place for this question but thought there might be someone to help with this issue...

We are first time buyers, have found the house we would like to buy and have had a mortgage offer sent to us. The problem we have is that we did not receive it by post as the correspondence address on the mortgage offer is our previous address (we recently moved in to temporary accommodation until we buy).

Does anyone know if having the incorrect correspondence address on the mortgage offer will affect the mortgage now or in the future other than our post going to the wrong address?

We do have the option of getting your address changed on the offer but this would mean being re-credit checked which we would prefer not to do.

Any help will be great.

Thanks

James

Did you re-direct your mail, or arrange to collect it from the new occupants?

Give the lender the temporary contact address just for correspondence?

  • Thanks fro responding.
Its the correspondence address being wrong on the mortgage that is the issue.

We have arranged to pick up our post from the new occupants, we are just worried that the address being incorrect will affect the mortgage going through.

If you can't just add a correspondence address, make a mail redirection so you get your mail without having to rely on third parties.

I can't imagine why this would make any difference. Plenty of people move temporarily and don't inform the lender.
