Where can I get a pic photoshopped?

Want to get 2 photos photoshopped so my girlfriend can have a photo of her late grandma holding our new baby.

No idea how to use photoshop myself so is there anywhere online that does it?

Most younger folk are proficient in Ps, although there are better quality programes. Perhaps somewhere like Fiverr, or if you have any younger family members they could do that for you. Depending on the quality of the images, it shouldn't take very long.

Have you asked your girlfriend if this would be ok though? Kind of raises some ethical issues and I would be pretty hacked off if someone did that for me, it would go straight in the bin, along with the insensitive clown who thought that dragging up past emotions would be a good idea - perhaps ask before commencing on this because even with the best of intentions this could go horribly wrong, you don't want to run the risk of damaging your relationship over this. If she hasn't healed from the loss, plus the menagerie of hormones that come with having a new baby, could really do some serious damage.

I also agree with the other poster as to confusing things - how do you explain to a small child (which your baby will be very soon) that you did that?

Maybe just buy her something that isn't ethically challenging - shiny things in velvet boxes work best, I'd personally go for a necklace with something expensive in it. That way you won't risk your relationship.

I have to agree with others that it may not be such a good idea unless you are very sure that she would like it.

I think it will possibly upset her immensely and she may think its a bit creepy/insensitive/thoughtless/confusing/emotional

How about a necklace that holds 2 photos so you could put a photo of your baby on one side and a photo of your GF late nan on the other side?

I know it is well meaning, but I kind of feel like I'm being patted on the head and spoken to veeeeery slowly! :rotfl:

The pic is her idea, I'm just doing it for her. It's not a present, I just said I'll try and find somewhere that does it online. Though I have to admit I am now tempted to see if I can get away with getting her a photoshopped picture for Xmas instead of the usual "shiny thing in a velvet box"! ;)

It's just combining 2 pictures of the 2 most cherished people in her life (I know my place!) into one picture. Thought it quite a sweet idea myself. It's just a personal picture for her to go in a box that has some of her grans old stuff in. It's not going to be blown up and put on a 100x50 canvas above the fireplace in our living room (bloody hope not anyway!)

I've just had a look at Fiverr, looks like that'll do the trick - thanks for the heads-up.

You didn't explain any of that in your original post or any of the subsequent ones. Perhaps learn to communicate effectively - as when you fail to provide essential material information bad things tend to happen. Just in case you decide to post again.

I am sure that had you explained that in your first post, you would of got different answers.

Maybe next time, explain fully and you should get relevant help quicker.

To be fair, I didn't ask (and wasn't looking) for advice on whether the pic should be photoshopped or not so I didn't see the need to provide a full detailed backstory. I just wanted to know of a place I could get it done.

I know the advice given was well meaning and thank you for pointing me in the direction of fiverr.

Can you advise what programs are better quality photoshop, genuinely curious??

Marc I don't normally comment on such threads but can't believe the condescending attitude of some people by:

A - Giving unsolicited unwanted opinions
B - Criticising you for not providing them with an explanation for them to keep their opinions to themselves!

    Unbelievable! :rotfl:

Fiverr is definitely your best option for what your looking for.

And simply put, ethically a lot of people wouldn't do what he was asking without at least the recipient knowing of it. This isn't some meme tween rubbish, this is taking a photo of a deceased family member and amending that in a way that could be used not in the purpose suggested, and potentially leaving the creator open for litigation.

Not that you bothered to think of both the legal and ethical implications, before coming out with point one or two - perhaps consider such simple things before stuffing foot in mouth.
