Remortgage Credit Check Detail

Hi,
I started a DMP with Payplan back in 2009, and recently the last of the defaults has fallen off my credit file (according to Noddle and Clearscore), although I am still in the DMP which is now self managed, and probably still have around 2 years to go.
I am looking to remortgage next year now my credit file is clear, and have looked into some sample application forms, just wondering how indepth the mortgage lenders delve, also wondering how I would answer the following question..?
Have you ever been bankrupt or entered into a voluntary agreement with a creditor in the last 6 years?
To me, I think the answer is No as I entered into the DMP around 8 years ago..
What do you think should the answer be?
Thanks

I'd answer 'No' as well to that question given that you entered into a DMP more than 6 years ago.
Having said that, there might be other questions in the form which require you to disclose any regular payments that you're making towards the DMP.Hi,

Is it worth winging it by yourself rather than engaging a broker who can match your requirements with those of any prospective lender.0

I would be getting a broker involved, so no worries there. just more interested in finding out how far down they dig into my finances.

Failure to disclose is fraud. The fact that you are paying creditors that don't appear on credit records will raise questions. A decent broker won't risk their reputation on your behalf.0
