Backup to 'The Cloud'

Please may I ask how can I save docs to 'the cloud'?

  • Easiest way is to use the software or apps they provide

For example i have a google drive within a one drive on my PC so everything syncs with both Google and Microsoft.

I use free storage using adrive and MEGADRIVE (50b each ) and pCloud and Box (10Gb each) .
If I wasn't nervous about it I'd be tempted to amalgamate them using a cloud manager like Jolicloud but I'll wait till I hear more reviews about them.

Another vote here for pcloud which I have found to be excellent for both personal and business.
I purchased the 500Gb package (£39) but you can easily get 20gb with pCLoud for free.

I have looked into this and it appears that Apple is making it very difficult for third parties to compete with it's own iCloud service and there may well be antitrust and EU competition issues in future..

"May well" in this context means "not in a million years". Unless you want to try to argue tha iCloud, OSX and iOS have market-dominant power. Messrs Google and Microsoft rather negate that, wouldn't you say?

I think you are trying to refer to the same Mega.nz I referred to earlier and pCloud is only 20gb free

Jolicloud is a completely different product type.

Sorry I feel like JR Hartley now! Yes I think MEGADRIVE calls itself mega.nz now, and pCloud has probably expanded its free storage since I started with it.

I've started a new separate thread about aggregators on this thread to deal with things like jolicloud.

Forgot to mention before, FlipDrive has a free 10Gb account.
