CV Layout

Hello everyone,
I am currently fulfilling a six month contract with a law firm as their marketing specialist. In the last five years I have undertaken numerous contracting roles ranging from 3 months to 9 months. Before this I had two roles which were for two years and three year long.
The problem I face with listing all of these roles in order is that my CV goes over the two page limit.
I was wondering how to layout my CV relaying the information without it becoming too long in length.

Focus on skills, not positions - so highlight the skills and experience which you gainsed in each job, and which are relevant to the job you are applying for.
Also consider whether there is information which is not needed or can be reduced. For instance, you aductioan can me reduced to a statement of what your degree and class of degree is, and the number of A levels and GCSEs you have.
Short term contracts cna be summarised as "Various temporary jobs, during which I was responsible for I]relevent examples as approprite[/I
As you are currently on a temp contract it may be worth asking your current HR persoan / Practice Manager / whoever would recruit for your type of role whether they would be willing to review your CV and give you feedbackAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
I wouldn't obsess about the two pages, but the advice from Bagpuss is sound.
Remember that a CV is a marketing document, not an autobiography. When I'm reading it I want to know what you've done and what the outcome was. It you can't summarise that in two pages then you need to focus it more.
I once saw a CV that was 48 pages long. Now that was one I never got to the end of!0 -
As above.^^
Use a skills based CV format, not a chronological one.0 -
As everyone has said focus on skills and responsibilities lose the A levels and GCSE's if they're on there.
Then if you need to summerise the rest of the positions do it like this:
Bank Manager - 2010-2011
Estate agent 2009 - 20110
