I would like internet on my mobile... the reason being my very odd shifts means i cant be on here much and i cant start the daily thread. There are other reasons but these are my main. Now my phone is very old in technology and in order to get it i would have to buy a new phone and payg on the internet (havent looked into prices) or get a contract... now contracts are £27.50 per month ie £330.00 per year....
now i usually top my phone up at £5/£10 per month  i have no debts, some savings. I take home £770.00 and my essentail bills are £273.50 then i have savings (locked and unlocked), a mag subs, a weight management subs, driving lessons... total outgoings = £553.22 however my driving lessons will finish around november saving £200
what would you do... get this extragavent luxary or just 'make do'?

Hi
To be honest i would treat myself. You can go through a cashback site and get some back. One question though. You say your driving lessons finish soon. Does that mean you will take you driving test??. If so remember you may need to buy a car perhaps (dont know if you have one already?). If not go for the phone. Fill your boots.

thanks ym... i would get £40 cash back  had one test next test soon ~ long story loads of instructors  i cant keep a car on my wage so i am not buying one but after spending more than £3k on driving lessons i am reluctant to give up before i get my pink licence :rotfl:yes but £30 is a big expense isnt it  i used to have a contract and never used it hence why i am now on payg?
edit ~ i am looking at buying a new phone anyways which is £80~£1000 -
Remember you do not get an inferior phone on PAYG. I have PAYG and have a modern phone and you are not tied in to a payment every month. I choose how much i pay per month. Usually £5.

edit.. Good luck with your driving test.0 -

Hi PaP - do you have a laptop with wi-fi?
If so, the chances are that there is network coverage in the area of your work, and you can 'buy' time. Depending on who the network supplier is, this can work out the cheapest way.

sorry fishy, i have been having a little 'situation' this last week... i have decided against getting a contract and against getting a new mobile... i think the novelty will wear off with teh internet and as for a new mobile i just dont use it enough to jusify the cost... although it was only £80 that £80 savings/8 weeks spending money/uni money... so tis a no :j0
