Can't use my prize

I won a voucher to spend at Balsam Hill. On winning I had to download, fill in and sign, then scan and send back a form which basically seemed to say they could use me for publlicity and I wouldn't sue them for any reason (it was Balsam Hill Uk but the form looked very American). I then got a return e-mail saying to await instructions on getting my prize. A while later I got an e-mail with a voucher code in and it said it would be applied automatically when I entered the code.

I made my choice and went to checkout but there is nowhere to put the code. It insists on me giving my credit card details which I don't want to do. I have e-mailed them twice to ask about this but had no reply.

Really not sure what to do next but I'm rather fed up with the whole thing now tbh. :(

I won what I think was their main prize last year which was 2 Christmas trees, one for me and one for my son. I received them no problem and they are absolutely wonderful quality. I don't know what to advise regarding the code/credit card details, they're probably really busy this time of year. Could you ask on their facebook page at all? I just wanted to reassure you that they're genuine, and I had the forms to fill in too. Good luck x

I don't know if this is any help from their website
HOW DO I USE A COUPON?
After adding items to your cart, click the "VIEW CART" link at the top of this site to view your cart. At the bottom of the shopping cart you'll see a box where you may enter your coupon code. Please note you may only use one coupon per order and that current coupons may not be applied to past orders. If you would like to place an order using a coupon and also have a branch sample credit please call CUSTOMER SERVICE for assistance.

Thanks you both. I've checked several times and there's no box there. I turned off adblcoker just in case. I have messaged them on fB to see if they can help.

I couldn't see a box either (no adblockers and chrome)

There is a box there, it's under the security code box.

I'm afraid I don't see a security code box either. What page are you on please?

Same with "Edge", however back to chrome - if instead of trying to checkout you create an account you do not need to enter card details and will reach this screen with these options
    My Orders
Review orders / track packages Change quantities / cancel orders
    Change shipping address Print invoices
    Change billing address Return items
    Personal Information
Change e-mail address, or password Manage your billing addresses
Change my e-mail preferences Manage your shipping addresses
    Payment Settings
Edit or delete a credit / debit card View gift certificate balance
Apply a gift certificate to your account

The apply a gift certificate option brings up

Redeeming your Gift Certificate is easy!

Simply type the gift certificate code below to apply the gift certificate to your account. We will automatically use this gift certificate to pay for any purchases you make today or in the future. You can always check your gift certificate balance from your "My Account" page.

Enter your gift certificate code, then click "Apply"
    Apply

there are 3 boxes to enter a code (probably a max of 4 or 5 characters per box)

Thank you again but I'm afraid my code isn't the same format as a gift certificate - not the right amount of numbers - and it won't accept it. I have messaged them on facebook but got no reply. I'd wait until they are less busy after Christmas but it expires at the end of December. :(

Unfortunately Balsam Hill have lost the plot a bit. As you probably noticed on Facebook they have been inundated with hundreds of complaints from angry customers who have not received their orders weeks after they should have arrived. There are hundreds more on Twitter and their rating on Truspilot has nose dived. I think they are genuinely trying to sort things out but failing miserably using dubious methods which I guess are irrelevant here.

I am one of the unhappy customers waiting for my order, they normally do respond eventually. I had more luck on their twitter feed by sending them a direct message. You could ask if they would extend the date the code has to be used by and wait like you say until things get back to normal. I'd be surprised if they don't.

    Good luck!

Ah I hadn't realised - thanks for that, I'll message them on twitter as you suggest and ask if they will sort it for me after xmas
