So someone retiring at 57 would not be counted as taking early retirement because they would have worked the number of years needed to retire.

How long can that continue for? Western Europes population is ageing fast.

There should be a lifetime upper limit on how much income tax anyone is made to pay of, say, £1 million. There is no way anybody uses more than that amount of public services. In fact at the corresponding earnings level, the fact that you are a high earner is used to deny you those benefits.

There seems no reason why high earners should fund parasites limitlessly.

How many people on benefits are parasites? 1%? 5%? 10%?

Wealth, or earnings inequality and job destruction is becoming a major problem for advanced societies. If it continues, nearly everyone is going to become a "parasite" and someone is going to have to pay for them, in some form or another.

if job destruction is a major problem, why does the UK needed unlimited immigration?

The goverment dosent care or they would of done something about the 1.5 million unemployed.. how much tax would they get then?
not to mention all the money saved not paying benefits out.
seem strange nothing getting done, we rather import cheap goods.
we need a British version of Donald trump (without the bad bits)

''the planet overpopulated brigade'' aren't going to like this..
Infertile women have been offered new hope after scientists found that a common cancer drug triggers the development of new eggs, an outcome which was previously thought to be impossible.

False dichotomy. "There are unemployed people therefore the government has done nothing".

Jobs will continue to be destroyed by technology, new ones will be created. But evidence shows us that inequality of income and wealth is growing in advanced nations and it is obvious that this will lead to undesirable social consequences if not addressed.

Calling people parasites because their industry has gone away isn't helpful.

    Absolutely.

Although I see the various taxes as a way I purchase my way out of having to do the menial jobs that are required for humanity and civilization to run, and on the shoulders of whom I "create" great wealth: caring for the sick and elderly, schooling infants, picking up litter, cleaning prison toilets: service roles in general that are often physically and emotionally exhausting, stressful, dull, demeaning or otherwise not to my refined tastes.

and I think it only fair that once we've managed to contract out, at the ridiculously low monetary % rate I've employed some accountant to find for me , say £1 million it's probably time I wasn't allowed to do that anymore, and I was forced to actually contribute a % of my time and graft: lets say 40 hrs a week, in slopping out toilets, scraping chewing gum off roads, packing salmon, unblocking sewers, helping grieving people as their loved ones breathe their last, or some other high-value-low-monetary-reward toil.

Perhaps then I'd be less stunted, stop sucking humanity dry and understand that most contributions to humanity are not monetary.

I see more people in the UK want to retire early than any other country in the survey. Why is that I ask....poor employment conditions, archaic management attitudes, 'us and them'....?..so different to Germany.
Poor worker attitudes. Can't be bothered to put effort in while working (productivity vs Germany), can't be bothered to stay longer than needed. There is Jeremy Kyle & Eastenders episodes to be watched. Now excuse while I return to watching The Vikings unless anyone messages me while working from home
Take away the hospitals and we'd all die a bit earlier again.
Finally a manifesto proposal I could get behind
    Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)

Perhaps we should all just kill ourselves and be done with it?
