mortgage credit check

Hi
My partner and I will be looking to buy a house next year.

I will be putting down half the price of the house as a deposit. My partner will be taking out a mortgage for the remainder of the price. He will be paying the mortgage each month and as my half will be paid, I wont be paying mortgage.

As it will be a joint mortgage, my partner taking out a mortgage for the unpaid amount, will his bank credit check me as well ?

Thank You

I think you will both have to be on the mortgage, meaning you are jointly liable for the full mortgage.
