Wage arrestment
Hope someone can help..
I have just received a wage arrestment to my work (small company I open the mail) and it's from a credit union loan years ago, the address on the paperwork is an address I have not lived at for over 3 years therefore I have never received any paperwork, letters or even court papers, I am in Scotland is there anything I can do? More than happy to pay it but not at £335 per month!

When you moved, did you notify them of your new address?"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

If that has arrived then there is a court order behind it. At the moment it has nothing to do with you as it is for the employer to deal with, possibly after consulting you.
Look at the stepchange website for info on the amount that can be arrested based on your pay0 -
I believe that in Scotland loans cannot be enforced after 5 years unless there has been court action. Also, they are written off, unlike in England and Wales where, although unenforceable after 6 years, they are not technically written off.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
