I've just cancelled my OH's egg loan DD, this will be the first time we haven't paid it.
He got a text on his work mobile earlier telling him to check his account, he did and they want him to reinstate the DD. Anyway that isnt the problem - the problem is that they not only have his mobile number but also his work number. (I have now changed them both!)
Anyway since he wants to go br he will not be reinstating the DD and I'm sure they will try and call him.
Are they allowed to hassel him at work? Also do they keep old numbers on their records?
Any advice welcome! Please???

They are allowed to call someone at work, but they shouldn't say who or especially why they are calling.
Essentially they are not allowed to use embarrassment/informing a third party as a tactic.
Read the OFT guidelines on Debt Collection though to see exactly what is considered to be fair practice, and what is not.
