Ooh, mansey, I love my Manuka honey! :j

Is it any better than the normal stuff? Well, it does help if I have a bit of a sore throat but how much of that is psychosomatic I don't know :o

I tend to buy mine from H&Barratt when they have a Manuka deal on - buy one get the 2nd for a penny. I never go for a higher strength than 20+.

I'm also entering all the Manuka honey comps :rotfl:

Hope your health issues get resolved soon, mansey :(get-well-smiley.gif?1292867603

I am also definitely a fan of Manuka honey, I used it a couple of years ago when I burnt my calf on a motorbike exhaust (wasn't even on the damn thing, just got too close by mistake whilst talking to the rider who is a friend of mine). The burn was probably the size of a CD and blistered quite spectacularly. Firstly I went to the doctors to have it checked and was given some burn cream and told to keep it clean and all the normal jargon. Fast forward a couple of weeks and it was mostly healed apart from a bit right in the middle about the size of a £2 coin, whilst it didn't look infected it was a bit weepy and very sore. It was recommended to me that I use some manuka honey on a dressing over the non-healing part. I did that and it healed completely within a week! I was very shocked and pleased I avoided antibiotic creams or whatever the doctor would have given me on the second visit.

Whether it would have healed on its own, i'm not sure but I personally think it made a big difference. I'm also no doctor so depending on your health problem, i'm a bit reluctant to say go for it. Could you go to your doctors, explain the problem and ask their opinion on using honey before doing it? That way you've covered both bases.

Good luck and I hope that you feel better soon :D:kiss:

The newt it's at all sure about that one it would appear that the name is usually represented as SunnyD or Sunny-D the D being connected to the Sunny part. If we let that through then you could in theory claim any letter from a word.

SunnyD socks therefore are really only an S.

Cross off that "D" or we will have to send the Newt to visit you :rotfl:

what?! i always go to the shop and say "shop keeper can i have a bottle of D.... sunny D" (said in a james bond accent)

i feel bullied! however i will remove this one time..... only because i think D will be pretty easy to get again! ha ha ha

    Gloating is never nice....

That sounds like the coolest win ever though. Never heard of a Zombie Outbreaker Nerf Gun but now think my life is incomplete without one.

Hey I wasn't gloating just can't believe I can win two Z prizes yet a letter like I which I thought would be much easier is avoiding me like the plague.

My sons gonna love it, me and his dad after we've been shot a million times, not so much.

I'll happily talk to you, but can't chat about wins, 'cos I haven't (won, that is!).

I take it all back, yesterday I won an official Lions rugby shirt, valued at £70 on the site, tho who would pay that for a bright red thin top covered in advertising with an odd white collar? certainly not me! :rotfl:

And today a cheque for £100 turned up out of the blue, from Pick Me Up mag. Thanks Jaibaby:j:j so maybe I should say more often that I'm not winning :rotfl:

    Off to update.
