Talking about gin as we were we have just been out this afternoon picking sloes, they have been cleaned and are now in the freezer, tomorrow they will be put into gin and we will have sloe gin for the New Year
I did try and that once and just found it ruined a perfectly good bottle of gin ...

I read somewhere that you are supposed to pick the sloes after the first frost, I think it bursts their skins but not sure I will have a Google
Graham has 3 shop bought bottles in the cupboard but we usually make a bottle too, it is just bragging rights "I made that" homemade tastes better?
