    I didn't google it. I didn't think it was specific to one part of the country. I just assumed it was an old fashioned word that is not used much now. (But I'm old enough to remember my mum wearing one)

    Of course I know what a pinnie is. One of my fondest memories of Aunty Ginge (real name Lilian but universally known as Ginge) involve watching her put on one of those complicated wrap around pinnies to stop her clothes getting mucky. She wore it all day, a fresh one every day, and I don't think I ever saw her proper clothes unless we were out on a trip:)

    I always had a Nana, it's not heard much these days :(

    We have Mrs Bot, Mrs Wine, Mrs Whip ect so it was natural you were going to be Nana :D

    Those are definitely berries on the bags/purse/oven gloves/pinny and berries are definitely fruit ;)
