Hi
Does anybody know of any free video editing software? Dont need anything fancy just needs to have the ability to fade clips in and out. Ideally simple to use. Not using it for anything commercial.
Cheers

I never can understand why people recommend WMM because it's crap.
Here's a good freebie: http://www.videosoftdev.com/free-video-editor/downloadYou know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Lightworks is the big daddy https://www.lwks.com/
The pricing was free, providing you are not using HD features. Apparently a beast to tame it.0 -
If you're using Windows, then Windows Movie Maker gets my vote. It has enough features to make it usable, it offers a decent range of file export formats and because it's bundled with Windows, there is a massive user base - so if you get stuck, there are lots of online forums and FAQs to help you out. Don't listen to the doom mongers telling you "it's crap". It's not. It's basic, but it's free and it will do the job.
If you're using Mac, then iMovie is the way to go.0
