Vokera boiler won't switch off

If this is not the right forum to ask would someone please move it, thank you? If anyone can advise I'll be grateful - until the Gas Safe person can come.
Can I bypass the 'wireless' units (one removable unit on the wall and a receiver unit attached to the boiler) or, if necessary, turn my boiler off safely? I'm apprehensive about switching it off completely at the power supply in case I can't get it back on in the morning.
The wireless room unit and receiver don't seem to be functioning although there is a green flashing light on the receiver at the boiler. The room unit does not indicate (with a flame icon) that it is on - but it seems to be on 'full' and E 82 shows. The room temperatures are over 27 degrees and there is plenty of hot water.
If it is possible to operate the boiler safely bypassing the Room/receiver units it would help for now. I know I'll have to have it looked at but in the meantime, even though I have turned all but one radiator off the place is still very warm. Turning the radiator to low does not help - TRVs are at low or off but radiators still very warm - even one which has been turned to off for at least three hours now.
I apologise if I'm not explaining this well. I'm worried if I turn the power switch off I won't be able to get it going again in the morning.
When it had a routine service a few months ago it was perfect.
Any advice, instructions or help for now will be very much appreciated, thank you.

UPDATE at 11.10 pm - I do not want to be too optimistic but I think it is sorted. I would struggle to explain because I do not understand the process but it seems to have resolved. Thank you to everyone who read my post.

Thermostat set too high? Has anyone else been messing with it?
They should just be set the temperature you want the room and left as is, not turned up and down all day long like some people do.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

On mine, I can set it to just hot water or hot water plus heating, so can you put yours on just hot water overnight to stop the heating?
Did you just change the batteries in your thermostat? Did you follow the instructions and check that any programme you have is still stored? When I change the batteries as per instructions, the time re-sets to 12 noon, so you could end up running your heating at the wrong time of day unless you re-set the time?
Is there an error code on the boiler's display?0 -

Thanks Strider590 - I think the problem was between the transmitter and the receiver not communicating - E82 was showing. I followed ( hit and miss as I did not understand) on line instructions and it seems to be working now, thank you.
No one was messing with it - it just switched itself on, would not go off and Error code E82 appeared. Thankfully it seems to be all right now. I appreciate your reply.

Thanks Hedgehog99. I don't understand but after following on line instructions the error code E82 has gone and the heating is working. It is the same hours as before although the day of the week has changed. I am happy not to do anything else as the timer is the same every day. I am just so pleased that the problem seems to have been sorted.
I did not change the batteries as they were renewed a few months ago at its routine service.
Thank you for replying.
