Mortage Credit Check Address Issue

mousical
I am a FTB and have applied for a mortgage with Nationwide.
My broker has flagged that they have come back with an issue on my credit report and asked me to provide a copy so he can try to sport it out. Which I have done. My broker has checked my report and agrees that there are no issues with it (no missed payments or CCJs)
It appears that the issue is that they have searched just on my building e.g. 123 Example Road rather than Flat 2 123 Example Road. Apparently someone else in the building must have bad credit?
I am just confused as I thought credit was unique to person not address? And why would they do this when I have my full address??
Help please....nervous and stresses FTB

Where you reside ties your credit history together. People go awol. A property rarely does.0

Your credit report is unique to you and should not reflect anyone you lived with UNLESS you had a shared account of some sort. There's lots of information about it on the main site and via the MSE Credit Club. It may not be that someone else has bad credit but just that they know there are issues with reaching the right address.
If your report is definitely clear, then your broker should be talking to them to resolve the problem.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

This is just an issue with the format of the address and how it was keyed into the Nationwide system.
It will be resolved.
It is nothing to do with other residents in the block and whether they may or may not pay their bills.I am a Mortgage Broker

You must be very stressed, given that its your second thread on the same issue
As amnblog says above (and I'd mentioned about my similar speed-bump during a NW application in your other thread), it is most likely just a matter of the format of your address and the NW processing system. Your broker should be able to take care of it. Try not to worry too much.I am a FTB and have applied for a mortgage with Nationwide.
