Trying to find a mortgage lender

Hello everyone:)
I have been hovering around MSE website on and off for the past 8 years or so and this is my first posting. I was wondering if anyone can help.

My husband in on a spousal visa which needs to be renewed about every 30months, he earns £50,000 a year in a permanent job. I have been working as a contracted worker, not self employed, for the last three year. My current contract ends next summer, earn about £18,600 pro rata. We are trying to find a mortgage but struggling to find a lender as my husband is not a permanent resident yet and also i do not have permanent employment. With cash gift from a wealthy relative, we will have at least £50000-100000 as deposit. Any ideas of lenders who might consider us inspite of our circumstance? Will be so grateful for some help.

Thanks v much.

In your place I would contact a broker who can give you an informed opinion based on your entire financial circumstances.

Getting a mortgage while on a visa is far from impossible, there are a few lenders willing to lend as long as there is a minimum period left on the visa. However, combined with you employment circumstances I think your best bet would be to see a broker.

As started above. You are not qualified to find and suitable lender. You may of course get lucky, the odd being extremely slim.

    You need a mortgage broker.
