Might not need a door supervisor to answer it - ask your question.0

I have just been asked by a previous company i worked for over 6 months ago to send a copy of my SIA licence as they have had a police check request. I just wondered if any other door staff have had this0

So the police are doing an audit to make sure they aren't employing people who are unlicensed.
May as well send it, as no point burning bridges.0 -
Is this normal i haven't heard of this before ? I have nothing to hide and have complied nothing untoward happened whilst i worked for this company nor any other i just was a bit surprised why they asked for mine0

I suspect they've either lost or didn't take a copy when you were employed. Asked to provide the information they were unable to and contacted you.0 -
If the company had any sort of admin procedures they should have a copy of licences/certificates held by any guard/door supervisor they supplied (and should hold these on file for a minimum of 3 years after the employment has ended**). The fact that they are getting audited and contacting you for copies means they are panicking and scrabbling to get the information together.
in 30 seconds I found the SIA licence register online - https://services.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/rolh
surely your ex employer would have your name and DOB to check if a licence had been held.
if you aren't likely to work for them again and aren't worried about burning bridges, I wouldn't bother sending it. it might force them to keep better records in future.
** I work in recruitment - an industry of sometimes ill-repute, however we have numerous accreditations and are audited every six months by a number of different bodies so know the importance of record keeping!Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -
Its fine i called them back and i covered a very large music event for them and they have apparently been asked for other peoples info who were on duty that day to check they are using licensed staff I will presume this to be true as i know i haven't had any problems that i am aware of and my SIA registration is on their page showing as ok I only ever sent them a copy of my licence by text message so thats probably explains it all and i never filled in an application form so they didn't have many details0
