Eco disposable nappies

We're starting to use cloth nappies with our LO but there will still be some times when we need to use disposables just for ease - I've tried the Nature Babycare ones but find they leak too easily at the moment (although my friend who has a one year old loves them) and I've had a sample or two of Moltex which seemed ok but are very expensive. My health visitor said some of her ladies use German nappies but couldn't remember the brand or any more details so if anyone knows anything about them it'd be great to know or any recommendations for any other eco disposables.
Thanks

Moltex are a german company so it's possible they are the ones your health visitor was thinking of. Tushies are another brand I have heard of but not sure how they compare on price.0

ah ok thanks I did wonder if it was Moltex she was talking about. I'll have a look for Tushies disposables.0

I found tushies to be really bad - they leaked worse than anything else.
Nature girl and boy from Sainsburys were good, but I'm not sure how eco friendly they are. (and I'm going back a bit now.....)
By far the best, imho are the Moltex - yep, more expensive, but worth it.
My feeling is that you'll soon be so into the swing of things with washables, you won't need disposables - they're kind of addictive LOL!
The other ones to look for (they weren't around in my day) are the bamboo nature ones. You can buy just 4 to try from naturebotts.
Actually you can get one for a 6.5-13 lbs baby for FREE at spirit of nature.
Or try SoOrganic, where for £2 and no delivery you get to try 2 each of Moltex, Tushies and Tender Care (tender care are chlorine free).
Report back and let us know how you get on

Justie,
I'm on spirit of Nature's mailing list and just got email from them. They've reduced Moltex nappies to 'the cheapest on the web' not apparantly so it might be worthwhile checking out if they're a good price for you :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
As the saying goes ' I saw this and thought of you'
Mothercare have an eco friendly offering:

Well so far the Moltex are the only ones worth buying imo... ok so even Huggies can leak with my boy but they last at least 3 hours before they do... I've got a bamboo one to try still though so will keep an open mind0

well the Bambo one performed well so I've ordered some of those and some Moltex to see what they're like over a longer period. It's hard to know how they stack up eco wise but they're a big improvement on the normal brands.0
