holiday let mortgages

i have a house that i currently let out on the north cornish coast. its currently let to tenants on an AST but we are thinking that when they move out we would holiday let it instead. i am aware that i will need to secure a holiday letting mortgage as opposed to the BTL i have currently have but i was wondering what people's experiences were of obtaining such mortgages and what was required of you in order obtain them. did you borrow any extra to get the house furnished/ready for letting? what was your first year like in terms of bookings against what an agent estimated you would get? better/worse? all thoughts greatly appreciated.
