NATWEST MORTGAGE slow broker

Hi guys
I applied for a mortgage through a brocker and we went with natwest. We had the dip done and then the broker said he sent the docs for the full app. We also paid for the valuation which was done last Thursday.
i tried to call my broker on Friday but I was told he would be back in on Tuesday so I decided to call natwest myself to see if there was any results. They told me the valuation was all good and they were now just waiting on my pay slips and income details for confirmation. I was SHOCKED at this as my broker said he submitted it last week.
Anyway I'm just a little worried again because I feel that something may go wrong with the underwriters etc. Is this a normal mistake that can happens? I will be calling my broker tomorrow to ask him to resend the docs asap as the seller wants to complete by 16thDEC but I'm just annoyed at how slow he is. I thought they would only instruct the valuation if they were happy?
Also 2 searches have been conducted on me by natwest on Equifax. Any help would be great.

They changed their system recently and I have not used them since, but historically you send documents in and they take a few days to get added to the application and assessed.
Them saying they have not been received does not mean they have not been sent, it could just be that they have not been added to the application yet.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. If you want to make a mess of everything or get a misunderstanding of what is going on - call the Lender direct.

You'll have a far less stressful application process if you take a step back and allow the broker to do their job.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.

If natwest didnt get any docs, then how would they be doing bits of work on it?
It is more likely at that stage that no-one at natwest had looked at all the supporting docs yet or their scanning system had yet to allocate them to your application. These things go in a certain order and it doesnt mean they do not have them.
And with respect, you only applied for the mortgage last week. A valuation and credit check has already been done. Nothing seems to be going slowly here at all.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
