Britania endowment

Is anyone able to help please ?
I had a endowment mortgage with britania building society for a flat I bought ,the mortgage started in 1988 , and I sold the flat in 1990, I never recieved anything back from endowment,
Should I have reeived any moneyback ?
Britania say they cannot find any records
I dont have mortgage account number , thought they wouldb able to get details from my previos addresses , name,dob etc???

You had an interest only with the britannia. If you had an endowment policy, it would be with an insurance company. Have you been paying (or did you pay) for an endowment policy?

Most endowment policies didnt obtain a value in the first 2 years. Some took as long as 4-5 years to obtain a value. So, it is quite possible that it never got to the point of obtaining a value given the year of purchase and sale.

The mortgage does not matter. It is the insurance policy that does. Who did you buy the endowment from?
