Default on credit file

Hi Everyone,

No idea where I stand with this situation.

Me and my partner are looking to get a mortgage, we currently rent in the private sector. Have a combined income of 48k per annum.

However, nearly 4 years ago I had a default placed on my credit file for £65 from a t-mobile bill. This only came to light around 2-3 months ago and am still arguing the case with them to get it removed.

If I'm unsuccessful in getting the default removed I'm worried this will mean we are rejected for a mortgage. I need some advise as to 1. Will a £65 default risk me not being accepted and 2. Is there lenders out there who ignore defaults for mortgage applications if there over 3/4 years old??

Thanks
