Is it likely they could/would finish her

My sister is past retirement age by 5 years but still works part time for a national large company.

Lately she has had a bout of bad health and has been off work for a month. Now her health has taken a turn for the worse and she has been signed as unfit to work for a further 2 months but it is something that once they get her medication sorted she will make a full recovery from.

She wants to return to work when she is fit but is worried that because she is already past the age she was due to retire that the company may want her to retire. Can they force her into retirement?

No, they however could look at dismissing via the capability procedure but its not quick and if she is likely to return then she should be ok
