HELP- Being bullied by company handling bankruptcy! :-(

  • If she was declared bankrupt, she doesn't owe anything??????
  • I think you will find that she is either bankrupt and because her earning are too much her case may well have been transferred to an Insolvency Practioner to administer. This is very unlikely.

What I suspect has happened is that she is in an IVA. If you could confirm I can repond further.

If this is the case, how much were her debts and what are the monthly payments. etc ?

    Yep. I agree with Herbie21.

This sounds like an IVA. That is a form of insolvency, but not strictly bankruptcy.

  • Is this company the Official Receiver appointed by the bankruptcy court? If so, I think they can demand an increase if your friend's circumstances have changed (for example, her salary has increased). If your friend has been declared bankrupt, the official receiver is the only person who can demand money from her.

Are you sure that your friend was declared bankrupt, and is not doing an IVA? Did she go to court? Can you name the company that is bullying her?

    Regards,

    Rob
