    I think the credit check was the buyer's way of stalling for time.

    Check out whether a deed of variation would work here as what you never had cannot be taken from you.

    Give the inheritance to other family members.

    It might not work because of defrauding creditors etc and I do not have a difinitive answer at the moment.
  • This has proven really tricky. I asked our local OR's deputy who felt that it was an assett in the BR, but said he would take legal advice before he seized it ! - I think you ought to do the same. Dont know if your legally aidable ??

  • just a thought

    i may be IN a will, but not know, so i couldnt possibly reveal any possible future benefit

    also, even IF i know, dont exectors of wills handle the execution of the funds within any estate, even more complicated, what if someone passes away without leaving a will, say its a sole parent leaving no will but an estate to be split/contested by 2 siblings?.....could take years to sort


    glad ive not got the problem, all my family are paupers.
