Car Lease Cooling Off

Hi, I ordered a new car on the 11th November 2016, I believe there is a 14 cooling of period for leasing a car? My 14 day cooling off period ended Friday 25th November, I assume at midnight? But my lease company aren't open Saturday or Sunday so couldn't cancel my order. They are saying they ordered the vehicle on the day I signed my "order form" ( the "finance agreement" hasn't been signed yet ) and to cancel would incur a £500 charge is this correct? This is the reply I got from them
Good Morning
Your vehicle was placed on order the day we received it.
As per terms on your order form there is a £500 cancelation fee associated on the car.
Should you require any further information, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
You have not signed your finance agreement yet ? you have only signed your order form ?
Please find your signed attached order form for the terms.
Your regulated agreement would be issued once the car is in stock and a reg number has been alloacted.
Please advise if you would like to cancel the car ? if so, please email through and we can mark the file correctly.
As indicated, the vehicle is ordered on the day that the signed customer order is received, we do not wait until the cooling off period has ended as this would impact the lead time and delay delivery.
As you can see on the order form, it details your consumer rights by including the 14 day cooling off period within the terms and conditions. The 14 days includes weekends, so will have expired at close of business on Friday 25th November, therefore any cancellations outside of this date would incur a cancellation fee as per the attached signed document.
For clarity we ensure that all our terms of business are communicated clearly on documents before obtaining a customer signature, as we are regulated by the FCA we ensure that all our terms and conditions meet with the approval of the Consumer Credit Directive.
Should you require any further information, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
I'm confused. Any opinions appreciated.

If your cooling off period expired on Friday then the fact they aren't open at weekends is completely irrelevant. Even if they were open on Saturday you'd still be outside the cooling off period. You should have informed them by close of business on Friday if you had changed your mind. Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0 -
As stated, you were outside 14 days as you did not inform them on Friday.0

Thank you for your replies. Does it not matter that a finance agreement hasn't been signed or that they didn't wait 14 days before they ordered the vehicle?0

Neither of those have any relevance whatsoever. The finance agreement and the agreement to have the car are two entirely different matters, and the only common denominator is they are for the same vehicle.
As regards when they ordered the car, you would have complained if you'd decided to keep to the agreement and it wasn't ready because they waited before they ordered it!
Why on earth did you wait until after the last moment to try and cancel the order?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

I wouldn't have cared its not being delivered until next march, I'm in no rush. Ive been ill so didn't give the car much thought until this weekend but thanks for your responses. Looks like I'm keeping it.0
