Hi folks
im currently in a debt recovery programme, i was wondering if i could claim back the insurance i took out on my loan with the HSBC ?
I owe £19000 with them, but £3000 is the insurance i took out to protect the loan against redundancy etc, do i stand a chance of recouping some of that back to reduce what i owe?
with great anticipation and nervousness Denise xx

I dont see why not. I am on a DMP and owe LLoyds a fair bit but when I challenged them particulary about the loan protection I managed to get over 16K back. If you dont try you'll always wonder. Dont feel scared by them it took me a while ( 6th months)and initially they ignored my letters but when Istarted registering letters I got a reply and started the ball rolling. Good luck!0

We claimed back some PPI on a loan which was secured on the property but we are putting in with mortgage on a lower interest rate and it went through OK.
Even though we were leaving them we won.0
