  • Well, I've had quite a good day so far. Had to get the beer, but it didn't cost me. dd owed me some money, so she paid for it! Only seems fair, 'cause she eats more of the choccie than I do.

    Spent about £10 on magazines and sweets for my holidays!! Flying off tonight to see OH for a week - my challenge is to stay in control of spending whilst on holiday, but am feeling determined!
    See you all next week and have a good week everyone x
  • £1.50 on bus fare today plus £2.73 on some bits & bobs in Tesco.

    Also £7.86 on 2 lots of photo processing (holiday snaps!).

    Got all my change in coins for my car boot float on Sunday! :D

  • Errr, not a good day for me. Ordered some net curtains while my lightbulb was dim in July, and they came today so had to pay for them. £78.33 gulp!

    Still I did get £20 off by complaining because they were late, so it could be worse!

    Also spent £4 getting a key cut for ds1 and £2 for ds1's bus fare. So waaaaaay out of budget today. Oh well.
    Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
    Debt in July 2017 = £58,766 😱 DEBT FREE 31 OCTOBER 2017 :T 🎉
    EMERGENCY FUND 1 = £50/£5,000. EMERGENCY FUND 2 = £10/£5,000.
    CHRISTMAS SAVINGS = £0/£500. SEF = £1,400/£12,000 PREMIUM BONDS ME = £350. PREMIUM BONDS DH = £300.
    HOLIDAY MONEY = £0 TIME LEFT TO PAY OFF MORTGAGE = 5 YEARS 1 MONTHS
  • Top up grocery shop in Asda - £8.15 (v good as I used a £3 giftcard they sent me when I found a bug in a box of thier nachos and £2.50 in money off coupons or it would've been more)

    Also, just spent £6.99 on hmv.com ordering Hot Fuzz dvd (but 10% through Quidco so bargain!). I might even watch it and then put itaway for a xm pressie for sum1!! ;)

    Total = £15.14

    £10 on taxis to and from work.
    Too far to walk, no bus route and no possible lifts. Couldn't take the day off - I'm a teacher!
    Did manage to shave about £2 of the costs as went early and came back late so avoided the traffic.
    I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
