Natwest Mortgages - Valuation

We had a mortgage appt with a broker yesterday and applied for a Natwest mortgage (initially accepted pending doc submission).

We have opted for the Homebuyers Report. Can anyone advise if this is done alongside the valuation or if they are instructed separately by Natwest? Just wondering if this considerably extends the timescales.

Many thanks

Merely an extended report performed by the same surveyor. Covers both yours and the lenders requirements.

A smart move is to instruct the valuation for lenders purposes only and leave the Homebuyers Report until you know that:

    The property values up
    The purchase is progressing

Paying for a Homebuyers Report at outset will increase your loss if the purchase falls apart.
