What kind of 'market' do you mean? There are various local markets, one at Harpurhey, one (indoor) at Gorton; there's a sunday market at Smithfields (Openshaw) which mixes traders, flea market and foods. There's a fantastic big market at Bury.
And do you mean cheaper than Tesco, or cheaper than Lidl & Aldi?
