First Time Buyers with Halifax

Hey guys!

First time poster, first time buyer! Go easy on me!

So we've had an independent financial advisor (IFA) on our mortgage case. We had problems with 5% as I'm a director and only have 2 years accounts where I was involved. Either way, we've managed to secure an 18% deposit.

Initially at 5% we didn't get an agreement in principle (AIP), at 18% we wee given an AIP. We then proceeded to the full application which was accepted, and a valuation has been instructed.

Question. Apart from valuation problems, from a credit file/credit check perspective ... are we through? What's the process? Could they still refuse us?

Any advice, massively appreciated!
