I find Burda to be the best fit - their one seam trouser pattern is so easy and quick and the best there is for pjs and I have just made some trousers from a pattern in the 'start' range which are absolutely perfect - and bought trousers rarely fit me well. I just cut these straight from the pattern and they were dead easy too. I will be able to make pants in any fabric I want (even jeans) and the leg shape is easily adaptable. Sorry, I'm going on a bit but I'm sooooo chuffed!
  • Hey thanks peeps! I've ordered six online from America, and including shipping they have cost less than half what they would over here. It's outrageous. Totally unenvironmentally friendly but I hope I don't have to pay import tax on them!
  • No, you shouldn't have to pay tax on them since they are printed matter. That's the theory anyway! I have bought patterns and fabric from the States for years and have never been charged for patterns so fingers crossed for you. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the fabric :rotfl:

Mariel, I agree, Burda is the best fit for most people, especially their trouser patterns. I use them almost exclusively. I'm glad you're having fun with your dressmaking-having clothes that FIT properly and are unique to your taste is the best bit, I think.
