I'm now looking into a Goodwill Adjustment request for mortgage company to remove information on credit file... has anyone had any success with a GWA request?
Also does anyone have information on legalities of how late a payment has to be before its accurately/factually marked on a credit file?
As mentioned above my knowledge was that a late payment mark on credit file would have to be a late payment more than 28 days late? Is this stipulated by credit company i.e. company T&C's or is there an overall guideline/law?
I appreciate i may be clutching at straws here... but I have to try everything reasonably possible!!
So any judgemental comments on how I should better responsibly manage my financial obligations isn't necessary, i'm now well aware of my mistakes!
Thank you in advance!0 -

You will have signed a contract agreeing to make payments on the specified due date. As a natural consequence failure to adhere to this condition will result in the payment being considered late. Up to the lender concerned as to how they then report this.
A goodwill gesture is your only option. There's no grounds to argue on.0
